Jul 22, 2019i do not see anywhere in the irc 2015 that requires a step from the garage into the house. I saw the opening penetrations r302.5 & garage section r309. Dec 1, 2012i have been under the impression the typical fire separation wall in residential construction, single family was 5/8 "firecode" on the garage side.
